We camped behind a Walmart for the night we were here. It’s tough to justify campground fees when you are only there to sleep.

There are a lot of vacant store fronts, the pandemic hit this community hard. The nice thing is they dress up the windows to attract potential renters.

On Sunday we visited Hopewell Rocks, Magnetic Hill and the tidal bore by Moncton.

Tidal Bore. This is where the direction that the tide is going controls what direction the water in the river flows. Very cool to see the time that the river flow switches direction.
So hard to catch the beauty of it.
It was so much fun, Mark and I did it a few times! Basically, you put your car in neutral and the magnetic force pulls you back up the hill.
Some say it’s an optical illusion and gravity is doing the work, but Laureen thinks it’s magic.
We stayed in a casino parking lot Sunday night and bright and early Monday morning we were off to Sydney, Nova Scotia to catch the ferry to Newfoundland.

On Monday night we stayed in North Sydney in an Arena Parking lot that was surprisingly quite quiet. Except for the local drug dealer meeting his customers ????. There were so many expensive cars waiting for their “friend “. Now off to Newfoundland, the ferry ride could be interesting.
