We are now making our way to Yuma.\u00a0 We were going to travel slowly through Arizona but the weather is changing to cooler temperatures so we will be traveling faster. Not that we are complaining too much ????, but it’s going to be in the low teens during the day and single digits at night.<\/p>\n

On our first night we boondocked in the desert about 20 km from Kingman.\u00a0 So cool!!! Mark and Vince had to move rocks\/boulders by hand and the aid of a shovel to get us through the unbeaten path.\u00a0 On the 2nd night we stayed at our first Harvest Host Site, Stetson Winery.\u00a0 The owner gave us a 5-star rating.\u00a0 It was pretty interesting.\u00a0 Between us we bought 6 bottles of wine. He did okay ????. We spent Tuesday afternoon exploring Kingman and all the historical Route 66 stuff.\u00a0 We ate at Mr. D’s Route 66 Cafe, and I had the Oprah Winfrey special.\u00a0 Cheeseburger, onion rings and homemade root beer.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday we went on a day trip to Oatman to experience the wild donkeys who roam the streets and have the right of way over vehicles and pedestrians. Beware of the donkeys entering stores, restaurants and helping themselves to your snacks. At first, I didn’t like the donkeys but by the end of the afternoon I was feeding them. The history is pretty neat if you want to google the town. The road from Kingman to Oatman is extremely windy and it goes up and down and up and down and then up and down again.\u00a0 No vehicles over 40 feet allowed.\u00a0 There is an easier route if you leave from Laughlin but not nearly as much fun.<\/p>\n
