We stayed in 2 different Harvest Host sites around San Antonio.\u00a0 The first was at the Texas Air Museum and the second was at the Road Map Brewery.\u00a0 Staying at Harvest Host sites has been great.\u00a0 We see and do things we normally wouldn’t have done.\u00a0 The last night in the area we stayed at a Walmart in Brownsville.<\/p>\n

We went to the Texas Rangers Museum.\u00a0 Not too impressed, nothing about Chuck Norris. ????<\/div>\n

The Bonnie and Clyde exhibit was not too bad.<\/div>\n

It was a different sort of Museum.\u00a0 It was attached to the Buckhorn tavern and the owner has interesting (and bizarre) collections.<\/div>\n

We played around with the old side shows weird stuff.\u00a0 With one of the exhibits, we stand in front of a wall where our shadow is cast. When we walked away, our shadows stayed!<\/div>\n

Optical illusion.\u00a0 Now I know how the smallest lady in the world was done.\u00a0 That attraction freaked my brother David and I out in the 70’s at Klondike Days.<\/div>\n

The San Antonio River Walk was beautiful.\u00a0 We took a boat cruise and then had lunch in a Mexican restaurant.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n

Next was the city bus tour.\u00a0 It was a hop on, hop off bus with the tour guide giving us lots of interesting facts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Alamo was next.\u00a0 We were all so looking forward to it but in Laureen’s mind it was going to be a much bigger area.<\/div>\n

There were lots of exhibits with descriptions of the battle and what became of the Mission Church throughout time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Davey Crocket. This statue was erected where Davey’s body was found.<\/div>\n

The San Fernando Cathedral had a beautiful light show at night.\u00a0 It was projected on the building and was the called the Saga, showing a history of San Antonio.<\/div>\n
